The Rotary Club of Central Pangasinan (RCCP) and the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Pangasinan Chapter held a coordination meeting today to discuss potential partnerships on humanitarian programs that will benefit communities across Pangasinan.

Leading the discussion were PRC Pangasinan Chapter Officer-in-Charge Krismar Glen Brillantes and RCCP President Jason Estrada, who explored opportunities for collaboration in support of the PRC's life-saving initiatives.

Brillantes presented the proposed Rotary Lifeline Project under the Blood Samaritan Program, which seeks to establish a sustainable assistance fund to help subsidize blood processing fees for indigent and financially challenged patients requiring safe blood transfusions.

The proposal also outlined the project's objectives, expected community impact, accountability measures, and opportunities for the Rotary Club of Central Pangasinan to become one of the founding partners of the Blood Samaritan Project.

Aside from the Blood Samaritan Program, the Philippine Red Cross invited RCCP to collaborate on its other flagship humanitarian initiatives, including regular blood-letting activities and the CPR Caravan, which aims to equip more members of the community with lifesaving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills.

President Estrada welcomed the proposed partnership and reaffirmed RCCP's commitment to supporting programs that promote health, emergency preparedness, volunteerism, and compassionate service to the community.

Also present during the meeting were PRC representatives Mae Dianne Alano and Jan Mari Nabong, together with RCCP Treasurer Mikey Fabe.

The meeting underscored the shared commitment of the Philippine Red Cross Pangasinan Chapter and the Rotary Club of Central Pangasinan to build stronger partnerships that advance humanitarian service and create lasting impact for the people of Pangasinan.

The Rotary Club of Central Pangasinan meets every first and third Thursdays of the month at the Onyx Room, Lenox Hotel, Dagupan City.
