ROTARY CLUB OF CENTRAL PANGASINAN WELCOMES DISTRICT GOVERNOR RONALD S. DY DURING OFFICIAL GOVERNOR’S VISIT

Dagupan City, Pangasinan – July 9, 2026 — The Rotary Club of Central Pangasinan (RCCP) successfully hosted the Official Visit of District Governor Ronald S. Dy on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at Lenox Hotel, Dagupan City. The Governor’s Visit served as an important opportunity to assess the club’s plans, strengthen collaboration, and reinforce Rotary’s mission of creating lasting and meaningful impact in the communities it serves.

Joining District Governor Dy were Assistant Governor Jojo Cuison, Deputy Assistant Governor Rayan Sto. Domingo, and District Learning Facilitator Boc Bonifacio, whose presence underscored the district’s commitment to supporting clubs in achieving their goals for the Rotary year.

During the meeting, RCCP President Jason Estrada presented the club’s comprehensive One-Year Action Plan anchored on Rotary International’s 2026–2027 theme, “Create Lasting Impact.” His presentation outlined the club’s strategic priorities, emphasizing sustainable growth, meaningful community engagement, and organizational excellence.

President Estrada highlighted membership growth and retention as one of the club’s foremost priorities. He stressed that while increasing membership remains essential, equal importance must be given to cultivating an engaging club experience that encourages members to remain active, inspired, and committed to Rotary’s ideals. Through meaningful fellowship, leadership opportunities, continuous learning, and purposeful service, the club aims to build a vibrant and dynamic membership capable of sustaining Rotary’s mission for years to come.

A key feature of President Estrada’s presentation was his vision of implementing fewer but more impactful service projects. Rather than conducting numerous small-scale activities, the club intends to concentrate its resources, expertise, and partnerships on projects that produce measurable, sustainable, and long-term benefits for the communities it serves.

President Estrada also unveiled his vision of expanding the club’s network of collaboration through its “Partners in Progress” initiative. This approach seeks to actively engage private businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, civic organizations, and other community stakeholders in Rotary projects. By encouraging shared ownership and collective participation, RCCP hopes to maximize available resources, broaden community involvement, and create initiatives that generate lasting positive change.

District Governor Dy commended the Rotary Club of Central Pangasinan for its proactive and forward-looking approach to public image and communication. He particularly praised the club for publishing its own official club bulletin, maintaining a dedicated website, producing a souvenir program for its inaugural ceremonies, and effectively utilizing various social media platforms to showcase Rotary’s programs, projects, and humanitarian initiatives.

According to District Governor Dy, these communication platforms significantly enhance public awareness of Rotary’s mission and demonstrate the club’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and community engagement. He emphasized that sharing Rotary’s stories of service not only inspires existing members but also encourages prospective members, partners, and donors to become part of Rotary’s efforts in transforming lives.

The District Governor likewise expressed his appreciation for RCCP’s clear strategic direction and its commitment to sustainable, high-impact service. He encouraged the club to continue fostering innovation, strengthening partnerships, and developing projects that respond to genuine community needs while embodying Rotary’s ideals of service above self.

The Governor’s Visit concluded with renewed enthusiasm and a shared commitment among club members and district leaders to work together in advancing Rotary’s humanitarian mission.
