RCCP Opens New Rotary Year with Renewed Commitment to Service and Lasting Community Impact

DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan — The Rotary Club of Central Pangasinan (RCCP) formally opened Rotary Year 2026–27 with its first regular club meeting on July 2 at Lenox Hotel, reaffirming its commitment to impactful community service, stronger fellowship, and transformational leadership under Rotary International’s theme, “Create Lasting Impact.”

Guest of Honor and Speaker Past President Florentino M. “Jojo” Cuison Jr., Assistant Governor for Cluster 2-B of Rotary International District 3790, presented the district’s goals and priorities for the new Rotary year, emphasizing that they serve as a roadmap for building stronger clubs through membership growth, impactful service projects, youth development, public image, leadership, and support for The Rotary Foundation.

Joining Assistant Governor Cuison were Deputy Assistant Governor Rayan Sto. Domingo, President Hep Vinluan of the Rotary Club of Downtown Dagupan, President Boyet Bigcas of the Rotary Club of Dagupan, and Past Secretary Mitz Crecensio of the Rotary Club of Dagupan East, underscoring the spirit of fellowship and collaboration among the Rotary clubs of Cluster 2-B.
Leading the meeting, RCCP President Jason Estrada called on every member to embrace the new Rotary year with renewed enthusiasm, unwavering commitment, and a shared determination to undertake service projects that address real community needs while strengthening the bonds of friendship and teamwork within the club.
Estrada emphasized that Rotary’s greatest legacy is measured not by recognition but by the positive and lasting difference it creates in the lives of others, encouraging members to remain steadfast in living the ideal of Service Above Self through compassion, integrity, innovation, and collective action.

During the open forum, RCCP Charter Member and Past President Ope Reyna remarked that the district’s goals are well within the club’s reach because RCCP has successfully accomplished similar objectives in previous Rotary years through the dedication and collective effort of its members.
Reyna also reflected on the club’s rich history, recalling that RCCP’s tradition of meaningful service was built upon a strong culture of fellowship that fostered trust, camaraderie, and teamwork, enabling members to undertake projects that created lasting benefits for the community.
Also in attendance were RCCP Past Presidents Carl Arenas, Mer Concepcion, Nats Alipio, Ray Siapno, Vidya Mesina, Mel Baquiran, Mike Villamor, Immediate Past President Boyet Bautista, and prospective members Atty. Hayle Bonilla, Angelica Malicdem, Mauee Lapeña, Diane Rayos, and Lady May Macaranas, whose presence reflected the club’s continuing efforts to engage community leaders in Rotary’s mission of service.


The meeting concluded with members reaffirming their collective commitment to uphold RCCP’s proud tradition of fellowship, leadership, and community service as they strive to create lasting impact throughout Pangasinan during Rotary Year 2026–27.
